The 26th Cosmoprof-Asia: A Nexus of Innovations

Over the preceding year, Beauty Vision. Co., Ltd. has relished moments of joy, gracing beauty expos in diverse locales such as Brazil, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. However, as the principal contributor, I am eager to consider the insights gleaned from the 26th Asia-Pacific Beauty Expo held from November 15th to 17th, 2023.
Since its inception, Beauty Vision. Co., Ltd. has received annual invitations to the Asia-Pacific Beauty Expo, cultivating a friendly, collaborative tradition. This year’s participation, however, signifies a notable departure from the norm.
This departure resembles a paradigm shift. Originating as an OEM entity, Beauty Vision. Co., Ltd. has metamorphosed into a formidable entity, encompassing OEM, ODM, and OBM, successfully incubating the STARWAY·DIY series. Like a well-scripted narrative, STARWAY has authored a chapter, leaving enrapturing content for beauty enthusiasts and industry connoisseurs to applaud collectively.
Exhibition Design: Understated Elegance
In contemplating the material design for this exposition, the deliberation centered around whether to capture attention through the exhibition format or let the products themselves articulate their inherent value. We decided to craft the brand experience eventually through meticulous attention to detail. Commencing with the booth setup, the integration of the DIY concept gave rise to a captivating mural of DIY makeup, with irregularly arranged powder blocks resembling an exquisite oil painting. The convergence of three generations of DIY boxes at the center became a focal point, embodying the essence of the "customization concept." As the gaze ventures left from the DIY makeup mural, it encounters the forthcoming SOFT SHEER COMPLETE FOUNDATION KV board; on the right, the soft-matte rendition of the same series—the SOFT MATTE COMPLETE FOUNDATION mural—emphasizing the Shades Guide. The exhibition’s product presentation incorporated innovative makeup suitcases to showcase essential items, adhering to a classical approach reminiscent of an academy setting, bringing the backstage to the forefront.
DIY COLLECTION: From Makeup Palette Concept to Epochal Evolution
The DIY series seized the limelight at this beauty exposition, enthralling us as exhibitors and our peers in the beauty industry.
DIY eschews visual homogeneity in packaging design, introducing the innovative "platter" concept, which involves dividing the upper and lower covers of the makeup palette into two detachable or combinable parts, providing makeup consumers with a source of amusement and igniting creative inspiration. For makeup manufacturers, this represents a revolutionary shift towards greener production costs.
In the realm of thematic series, DIY underwent three iterations, evolving from DIY PRO-CUSTOMIZE PALETTES to DIY MORE-CUSTOMIZE PALETTES and culminating in DIY MODE-CUSTOMIZE PALETTES. The thematic underpinning of DIY increasingly accentuates the deployment of a recyclable makeup palette to house all the latest makeup updates. What once necessitated an overstuffed makeup bag for outings is now effortlessly consolidated into a single makeup palette. DIY ingeniously addresses user pain points with a smaller, lighter, more functional, and universally applicable solution. Serving as a pivot, DIY actively leverages the concept of innovation within the beauty industry, transitioning from complexity to simplicity and delineating a makeup palette into two distinct eras. From singularity to collectivity, a makeup palette seamlessly integrates all demands.
The conceptualization of DIY has transcended its initial hands-on creation concept. DIY is rooted in the personalized makeup paradigm. It allows users to customize a palette with their photo as the cover, favorite colors as the palette hues, and powder blocks tailored to actual needs. From individual users to ardent proponents of this philosophy, STARWAY accomplished this feat in just one year, proudly displaying the results at this exhibition.

The Soft Wear Complete Foundation series, a fusion of makeup and skincare, achieves an exquisite equilibrium between matte and dewy finishes for a naturally radiant appearance.
"SOFT MATTE COMPLETE FOUNDATION and SOFT SHEER COMPLETE FOUNDATION, these two liquid foundations impeccably address all foundational makeup needs and cater to all skin types with no less than 12 undertone shades. Simultaneously, they infuse skincare benefits while streamlining processes with a soft effect in matte and sheer finishes. SWCF, extending beyond its role as makeup, integrates skincare benefits and caters to sensitive skin—a prerequisite STARWAY sets in makeup product development, unlocking myriad possibilities for every user. From the nascent stages of research and development to production and inventory, SOFT MATTE COMPLETE FOUNDATION consumed more than half a year. After undergoing numerous formulaic and packaging refinements, it ultimately materialized. Instead of viewing this as STARWAY’s inaugural foray into foundational makeup, it is more aptly described as a relay challenge, evolving from a multifunctional foundation to an entire series. Our interpretation and application of makeup functionality have embraced a more diverse trajectory.
The beauty industry perennially introduces fresh novelties, yet a brand’s distinctive essence is paramount to novelty. From the spiritual core’s profound grounding to external product expression, it garners consumer recognition. The curtains have fallen on the 26th Cosmoprof Asia. Yet, the narrative of the "new" continues to unfold, sharing new delights, connecting with novel concepts, deliberating on innovative products, and eagerly anticipating a new future with all stakeholders. In the upcoming year, we eagerly anticipate treading upon broader stages.
